ADL HateFilter was developed by the Anti Defamation League in an endeavour to help parents keep messages of hate and bigotry out of their homes and away from their children's eyes. The program can filter out and block pornographic and violent websites, as well as other sites and material that may be deemed inappropriate by parents.
The program comes with a pregenerated blacklist, however there is flexibility for users to add sites of their own choice. ADL HateFilter is free to download and use, and updates are also free.
The HateFilter does not appear to be a powerful tool when compared to some of its competitors, however the unique nature of this software certainly makes it stand out in the crowd.
